Young Anglers Fishing Tournament!!
Alberta Marine is hosting its 6th annual Angler Young Angler not for profit fishing
tournament at Little Bow Provincial Park on Sunday, June 19, 2011.
This tournament is to introduce and educate young anglers to competitive sport
fishing in a fun way. It is a one day event that includes an official weigh in, a
BBQ, and lots of prizes for everyone, including the grand prize of a boat, motor and
trailer. The winner also gets to advance to nationals in Kenora, Ontario for a
chance to win a trip for 4 to Disney World.

Light up the Park!
Come and meet your neighbours - fun for the whole family! Games, Bon Fire, Hay Rides, Hot Chocolate and Hot Dogs!
From 7 - 9 p.m. at the Champion Campground Park.
In spite of the cold weather, the Lite-up-the-Park was a lot of fun! The kids enjoyed the ride around town and made some new friends.

Vulcan County is holding a meeting at the Champion Hall at 1 p.m. regarding Travers - McGregor area structure plan. Come and talk with the planning team about developments around Travers & McGregor Reservoirs.
For more information, please contact the County Administrator, Gary Buchanan, at 403-485-2241.
The Travers - McGregor area structure plan was presented by the planning team. The plan proposed various sites along Travers and McGregor reservoirs that could be used for recreational/residential developments. There was only one location on Travers that was identified as site which could be used for this kind of development. This area borders the lake including the gravel pit along Highway 529. Several locations were identified on McGregor Lake. (Doug Evans - lot 92)
